Since 1985 we dreamed of every possible way to share information about the simple living alternative to the standard American Dream of more... faster... bigger... better.... However, we did not act until 1996 when we discovered the Internet in its infancy.
Since that time the Internet has changed the way most of us lead our daily lives. The technology is immediate, flexible, cost effective and surprisingly earth-friendly.
Prior to the wide spread use of the Internet, we simply could not come to terms with the expense (waste of resources) required to design, produce and distribute printed newsletters and catalogs. We simply couldn't justify contributing to the mail order glut in the name of "saving the earth from ourselves."
Now, with the alternative offered by cyberspace, you can use The Simple Living Network to connect with others and learn about new books, tools, services and organizations.
We are using this highly flexible technology to serve as a focal point and gathering place for the simple living movement. We believe we have succeeded in creating an international network of like-minded individuals who enjoy sharing their ideas and insights about living the simple life.
We have thought long and hard about the Community Services and Resources we offer. We work closely with the authors, publishers and like-minded organizations highlighted. We hope you will visit The Simple Living Network again and again because you really care about making appropriate lifestyle choices and know we can assist in making those decisions in an open, thoughtful, caring and well-organized way.
We encourage you to Join Our E-Mail List so that you receive our 100% free on-line Newsletter. And, if you have the ability, we encourage you to Become A CyberAngel and help support the many Community Services offered here.
We hope you find The Simple Living Network to be an invaluable tool as you travel the path to simplicity.
For the earth,
Dave Wampler
