Hi all,

I'm a new member and just wanted to introduce myself.

I've been involved in some way or another with the simplicity movement since the 1980's when my wife and I took the original Your Money or Your Life course. Then, we subscribed to The Tightwad Gazette and got a lot of good info there. Though we haven't reached financial independence, the process has helped us to do things we probably wouldn't have done, like pay off our mortgage, which allowed me to quit my job 35 miles away and find work closer to home.

Anyway, I think the years ahead are going to make us all more frugal, so we might as well be ahead of the curve. Plus, it's just the right thing to do.

Looking forward to sharing here.

Ted

Hi Ted!

Good call, we're are ahead of the curve, plus it's so darn freeing not to have to work so hard to buy a bunch of crap we don't need to live rich, fulfilling lives!

I feel like I found the holy grail with simple living...

Feeling at ease with one's self means not needing fancy stuff to validate our self-worth..at least that's what I've found.

Enjoy your journey, friend!
