Hi, I have the 2nd edition of YMOYL and I am thinking of gifting it to a friend and getting the new edition for myself. I have had the book for about 10 years and read it often but truthfully I've never done the actual 9 steps.
I'm wondering if the Workbook would be helpful to actually do the work for each step.
I would love to hear honest feedback from those of you who have actually used the workbook and audio in addition to reading the book.
Thanks. |

I've used the study-guide workbook while leading a study group. The participants generally found it useful, with the specific questions to answer and the reinforcement from a slightly different expression of key ideas.

Thank you Joseph!!!
I just ordered the packet and am looking forward to beginning the 9 steps. I hope to begin a small group. But even if it's just me I want to do the work this time. |

| DH and I did the steps in the online group setting which is offered periodically through the Simple Living Network. We found it most helpful; we doubt we ever would have done it on our own. |

annq, thanks! this is basically a free copy of YMOYL plus the study guide. - did you intend to put this out there? If so, perhaps we should post it more prominently in its own thread. |

| Can someone let me know how often they do this on SL as a group? I would be very interested in participating and I know I need support. I am great with money 99% of the time, it is that 1% that just kills me! |

We want this information out there. Please, use it! It's on a creative commons license which means it's totally free of charge and anyone can take it and use it, you just have to credit the author - the New Road Map Foundation.
I did post when the site first went live. I hear a new version of simpleliving.net is in the works that will tie in a bit more with financialintegrity.org. But hey, if anyone wants to publicize for us by posting a thread I'm totally down with that.
Along those lines, surfingbodi, are you referring to the online study groups? Those are on a temporary hiatus, unfortunately, but they will be back and it sounds like they'll probably be keyed to the study guide I posted. You can look for groups in your area here: http://www.simpleliving.net/main/custom.asp?recid=4 and here: http://www.financialintegrity.org/index.php?title=Discussion_Groups If you decide to create your own group, please list it!
